W Melbourne opens in December 2020

W Hotels is Marriott's rebellious and luxurious lifestyle hotel chain. The hotels are famous for their living lobby, and its modern and unique design. W Melbourne is no exception! After long anticipation, Marriott has confirmed that the opening date is in December 2020.

Housed in a New York-inspired building, the hotel is located in the heart of Melbourne's shopping district, on Collin's Street. W Melbourne includes 249 rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, a spa and fitness centre, and W's signature WET® swimming pool.

The Woods-Bagot and New-York-based SHoP Architects are behind the urban design. The rooms reflect the city's vibrant creative history. The highlight is the Extreme WOW Suite, which takes up the entire 15th floor and is W's version of a modern presidential suite.

Without a doubt, one of the highlights is the culinary experiences. Warabi - the hotel's intimate Japanese restaurant - uses seasonal and local ingredients. Lollo is supervised by a still-secret renowned local chef. Curious, the cocktail bar is the hotel's pulse where culture, music, and mixology meet. The culprit is a café during day-time, and transforms to a wine bar during the night.

Other highlights are the 14th floor, where WET® swimming pool and bar, with DJ Booth, are located. If one compares with other W hotels, we can expect creative cocktails and incredible views of the city's skyscrapers.
