Air India blir medlem i Star Alliance i juli 2014

Nå er det formelt klart at Air India blir medlem i Star Alliance. Dette kjer 11.juli og dermed blir elskapet det 27ende medlemmet. Air India vil tilføre alliansen 400 daglige flyvninger og 35 nye destinasjoner i India. Selskapet blir det første medlemmet på det indiske kontinentet. Totalt flyr Air India til 60 innenriksdestinasjoner og 31 internasjonale destinasjoner i 19 land inklusivt Australia, Asia, Europa og Nord Amerika. Flåten består av et 90-talls fly inklusiv Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
