Vårmeny i Business Class hos Japan Airlines

De tre siste årene har Japan Airlines (JAL) jobbet med å tilby premium måltider om bord. Måltider som etter sigende skal overgå den reisendes forventning. Selv kaller de det for JAL BEDD SKY AUBERGE – eksklusiv restaurant i skyene. De nye menyene som serveres på internasjonale ruter i Business Class er Chef Jun Kurogi som står bak. Han driver en rekke flotte restauranter i Tokyo, heter det i en pressemelding fra JAL. De beste råvarene tilberedet på en unik måte er signaturen hans. Her er Business Class menyen laget av Chef Jun Kurogi. Den ble introdusert 1.mars og utvides stadig. Nå er den på plass mellom Japan og New York, London, Singapore og Jakarta. Fra 1.juni er den også å finne om bord flyvninger til Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Paris, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur for å nevne noen. Steamed Rice -"Yukigura Imazurimai"

Koshihikari, is a brand-rice cultivated in the snowy forested mountainous areas of Okuga region in Niigata Prefecture, where the temperature difference between night and day is large. After it is harvested, the rice with rice hulls is stored in a "Yukimuro", a snow warehouse, creating a fresh, sticky, sweet taste. Carefully stored in snow, it maintains the same quality as new rice throughout the year.

A delicious Misoshiru prepared with Kyoto Kujo Negi (spring onion), sea lettuce from Shimanto River, Kochi Prefecture, and high quality Shinshu Miso.)
