First Ritz-Carlton, then Four Seasons, then Orient-Express and now AMAN has entered the cruise ship market with its own an ultra-luxury motor yacht.
Labelled Project Sama, the super yacht will feature 50 suites and is due to come in service in 2025.
AMAN - the Russian-owned hospitality brand - has joined forces with a branch of Saudi Arabia's investment fund to pay for this 183-metre, 23,000 gross tonnage yacht which will be built in Italy.
With only 50-cabins - 100 passengers - AMAN's yacht will be much more intimate than Ritz-Carlton's Evrima - which can carry 239 guests.
The Four Seasons luxury yacht - also due for delivery in 2025 - boasts 14-decks and will feature 95 suites.
Aman now has 34 properties around the world including three in the USA (New York, Utah and Wyoming) with a fourth opening in Miami in 2024.
Meanwhile Accor has announced that it will sail the 220-metre long Orient Express Silenseas in 2026. It is set to be the “world's largest sailing ship”, feature 54 passenger suites and include two swimming pools, a spa, two restaurants and a speakeasy bar.
