Following the successful launches of the Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bar and Nobu Restaurant Monte Carlo, last week Nobu Hotel London Portman Square finally opened. This will be the 13th hotel for the iconic brand, founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper.
The hotel is situated in the heart of London’s The Marylebone area. With its 249 rooms and suites, signature restaurant and bar, including a year-round open terrace, plus a fitness centre and spa – this will be a great addition to London.
Upon entering the lobby, guests are immediately struck by the dramatic high ceiling and exceptional craftmanship, from hand-blown glass chandeliers to large-scale sculptures from award-winning British sculptor Ivan Black.
The hotel blends modern design with Japanese minimalist aesthetic in both service and interior decoration, complemented by moments of bold artistic expression.
Guests can book a range of elegantly appointed rooms and suites across seven categories – some of which boasts terraces with views overlooking Portman Square.
The room and the suites repeat the distinctive character seen in the rest of the hotel, influenced by the Japanese minimalist design and bold artistic expressions. An abundance of natural light and materials creates a sense of place that is peaceful, bright and warm.
One of the highlights is the iconic restaurant Nobu at Berkeley Street, which moves into the hotel and continues with its 15-year legacy of providing exceptional culinary experiences. Which includes their famous signature dishes such as «Rock Shrimp Tempura» and «Yellowtail Sashimi».
