Emily in Paris Her Guide to the City of Light: Filming Locations, A Complete Guide 2026

Emily in Paris is a Netflix sensation with something of a cult following, and this guide to the City of Light is a complete tour of the show’s filming locations in Paris and beyond. With five successful seasons now available, the series has become almost as famous for its fabulous locations as it is for its fashion, romance and drama.

The basis of the series is that Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) makes an unexpected move from Chicago to the French capital, where she takes a job at a Parisian marketing firm to bring an American perspective to the company.

While the series may not be to everyone's taste, one aspect of the show is not for debate – the landmarks, luxury hotels, restaurants and neighbourhoods used during filming are some of the most iconic addresses in Paris, the global heart of fashion, art, gastronomy and culture.

Many scenes have been filmed at well-known tourist spots, while others may be less familiar to viewers. And as the series has developed, Emily's world has expanded well beyond Paris, taking viewers to the French Alps, the French Riviera, Rome, the Italian countryside and, most recently, Venice.

For fans of the show and luxury travellers planning a stylish trip, these locations offer a practical way to experience Emily's Paris for themselves while discovering premium stays, famous sights and elegant places to eat across Europe.

Move over Sex in the City, Emily in Paris is the fashionable television show of this generation!

Experience the Emily in Paris Filming Locations for Yourself

One of the great things about Emily in Paris is that many of the locations featured throughout the series can actually be visited. Many fans choose a walking tour or broader paris tour to connect the show's main Paris locations in one outing.

From the charming streets around Place de l'Estrapade to grand Parisian hotels, historic cafés and famous landmarks, fans can recreate plenty of Emily's Parisian adventures. A route can also fold in spots like Jardin des Tuileries or Atelier des Lumieres, depending on your interests. Some travellers specifically look for an official Emily in Paris filming-location walking tour, while others prefer to map out their own self-guided day.

And as the series has expanded, so has the opportunity to follow in Emily's footsteps around Europe. Season 4 takes viewers from Paris and the French Alps to Rome, while Season 5 expands the journey further into the Italian countryside and Venice. If you want to extend the mood further, some itineraries also nod to glamour beyond the capital, including st tropez.

Whether you're interested in the show's luxury hotels, famous restaurants, fashion locations or simply want to see some of the world's most beautiful cities, following the filming locations of Emily in Paris is an entertaining way to explore Europe. The appeal is especially strong for any paris fan who enjoys the show's mix of style and sightseeing. The series also sparks side interests, from French class and fashion guide chronicles to its recurring contrasts between American and French customs. Costume designer Marylin Fitoussi gives Emily unapologetically fabulous outfits, and her looks mix vintage couture with contemporary styling in a fashion guide featuring more than 250 illustrations; optional inspirations can even include places tied to brands such as Ralph Lauren and the influence of her chic friends.
