Qantas Airways' Honolulu International Business Lounge is due to reopen on 16 December, having been closed since March 2020.
Frequent fliers of the oneworld Australian flag carrier will be greeted by a fresh look at Hawaii's Honolulu Business Lounge — though exact upgrade details have yet to be revealed. Qantas customers will welcome the lounge improvements at what was long regarded as one of the most tired lounges in the airline's network.
Qantas operate the Airbus A330-300 with 28 Business Class seats on the service between Sydney and Honolulu with a non-stop flight time of around 9 hours and 45 minutes, and the airline will include an additional two weekly return flights during the summer season.
The reopening of the Honolulu International Business Lounge comes fresh on the heels of a new club lounge at Rockhampton Airport — reported by BuisnessClass.com in November — and is the latest in a stream of lounge upgrades by Qantas — with an all-new Qantas Business Lounge coming to Adelaide alongside existing Qantas Club and Chairman's Lounge upgrades and upgrades to the Port Hedland Lounge. Auckland, New Zealand, will also receive a premium lounge upgrade to compliment the new Sydney-Auckland-New York service operating three days per week from June 2023 after a three-year hiatus.
Eligible Qantas passengers at Honolulu International Airport also have access to the shared oneworld Admirals Club with American Airlines and the shared Sakura Lounge with Japan Airlines.
