As all eyes in Europe were honed in on Sweden last week, for the annual Eurovision Song Contest - SAS launched its summer campaign with a series of AI-generated visuals. Their aim is to entice visitors to the contest's host destination Malmö and its neighbouring city - the capital of Denmark - Copenhagen.
Separated by the Øresunds Bridge - it's only 40-kilometres between the two cities over the Øresund strait.
SAS has collaborated with the acclaimed Swedish AI artist Stephanie Löwenstein to create striking visuals featuring virtual SAS passengers. These images are featured across SAS’s online platforms, in the streets of Copenhagen and Malmö, and at major airports throughout Scandinavia.
"We are thrilled to unveil this innovative campaign as our first foray into AI-generated advertising, coinciding with Europe’s focus on Sweden and Malmö," said Paul Verhagen, EVP & Chief Commercial Officer at SAS. "As the premier airline in the region, we eagerly anticipate welcoming visitors and showcasing the beauty and charm of our part of the world."
SAS operated over 1800 flights to Malmö and Copenhagen with the slogan “We bring Europe to Malmö,” accompanied by customised AI visuals for the musical event.
